Happy and Prosperous New Year 2023
Dear friends,
Our dear Pope emeritus, Benedict XVI, saw the last day of the year 2022 before being called back to the Father on December 31, 2022, at 9:34 a.m. We pray for the repose of his soul while trying to keep to his traditional Church stance and teachings to avoid the influx of secularism that could destroy our Catholic faith.
While praying for Pope Benedict XVI, I wish to thank each and every one who helped me spiritually, morally, and financially to realize the numerous projects under the auspices of KumboKids and Community. Thanks to your generosity, the solar project, the water project, the new beds and desks, and the tuition assistance have helped many students. I take this opportunity to thank you from my heart and wish you a prosperous New year 2023.
The Nkanchi Church Project is ongoing, and you are all donating to make sure that the project is realized. This project is at the center of my ministry as a priest – to give a befitting house of worship to God’s people in Nkanchi – my home village in the diocese of Kumbo. I am seeing a green light already with the flow of generosity from you all. May the year 2023 be a blessing for each one of you. Many students continue to need tuition and fees, and your support in this area had been enormous – thank you. I would like to adopt a system where individuals may love to support a child until he/she finishes school. As such, I will furnish the donor with the name and picture of the student, and I will get the students to write to the donors from time to time acknowledging the support they (the students) are receiving.
The fees and tuition analyses are as follows: Kindergarten and Primary schools - $200.00 per year including tuition, fees, books, and uniforms; Secondary and High School - $750.00 per year including tuition, boarding fees, some books, uniforms, final exam fees, and uniforms. It takes 8 years from Kindergarten through Primary school, meaning $1,600.00 can help one child for eight years. Many children need assistance with tuition, fees, and other needs, but we do a selection of well-behaved students and those ready to work hard in their studies.
Once more, happy New Year 2023. It is my prayer that God should grant your hearts’ desires and instill in you that deep faith that Our Lady had. May God continue to bless you, protect you, and give you good health of mind and body so that you may continue to bear witness to his name. Amen.
Sincerely yours,
Fr. Emmanuel Fale Lon (SD)
