Trip to Nkanchi - Update on new church

Dear friends,

On Feb 4, I traveled to my village, Nkanchi to present my doctoral certificate to my father, family members and the people of my village, and to continue with the church project. My family and the village people had supported me in their own way toward my formation and education. It was fitting for me to present to them their success and achievement.

Father Emmanuel shows his diplomas to his father in Nkanchi village.

The road was a tough one. I went with the architect, and on the way we stopped to give sweets and candies to school kids.

Kids from Kumbo greet Father Emmanuel and receive candy.

Fr. Oliver Shey Ndi, in charge of projects for the diocese of Kumbo

Fr. Oliver Shey Ndi, in charge of projects for the diocese of Kumbo meets with the architect to go over the site plans for the new church in the village of Nkanchi.

We also went with the priest, Fr. Oliver Shey Ndi, in charge of projects for the diocese of Kumbo. He gave his approval and asked that the work on the foundation for the new church to commence.

The next group of pictures will show the digging of the foundation, the carrying of sand and the great enthusiasm of the people over the project. They are so happy and thankful for your help and support.
