Thank You for the Spaghetti Dinner!

THANK YOU FOR THE SPAGHETTI DINNER OF MARCH 2, 2024

Dear Dave and Ann, dear friends,

Thank you for the annual spaghetti dinner to raise funds for KumboKids and Community. I have often wondered why we are being given this high-class treatment. All I can say is that God’s faithful people have a missionary spirit to touch lives across the ocean in answer to the question: “Who is my neighbor?” (Lk. 10:29-37). Dave and Ann, thank you for your initiative and generosity in organizing this annual event for KumboKids and Community. We render immense thank you to all of you, members of the Knights of Columbus, Council 500, and beyond, who come to donate in support of the projects of KumboKids and Community. Our prayer is that God will continue to bless, protect, and replenish the sources of your income, and most importantly, to grant you good health of mind and body.

Your donations are yielding abundant fruits. Many students have received tuition and fees and are in school doing so well. The main goal of KumboKids and Community is to “give someone a future.” The education of the neediest children is the best gift to them, for, with education, one can become industrious, innovative, creative and be able to help oneself and others. At Saint Aloysius’ Minor Seminary, we continue to renovate the buildings, check the water, and do constant check on the solar system to keep it functioning all the time. The giant Church Project in Nkanchi village is moving well although there were some delays due to the bad weather, bad roads, and the constant roadblocks by the rebels. However, we are sawing planks in preparation to build the roof. These projects are being done thanks to your generosity. May God continue to bless and reward you.

It is our wish to try to complete the church before tackling other projects. Thank you for your kindness, once more. I am very hopeful that we shall finish the Church. Accept the people’s appreciation too for what you do for them. They are extremely grateful. Thank you.

I take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Easter. May the risen Christ whom we celebrate at Easter be with you in your hearts and minds. May Mary, our mother, and Mother of the Church always intercede for you. May the Easter joy fill your hearts with God’s abundant love and keep you always in his presence. Amen.

Gratefully yours,

-Fr. Emmanuel Fale Lon
